Job summary

Capital One is seeking an AI Engineer 4 to join the IFX team to advance responsible AI systems and scalable infrastructure. You will partner with engineers, researchers, PMs, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products that transform how associates work and how customers interact with Capital One.

You will design and implement AI services, foundation model optimization, model evaluation, and governance, while ensuring security and data compliance across production pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/AI/Engineering with relevant experience.
• 4+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
• 4+ years of programming in Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AI-powered products with cross-functional teams.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Leverage open-source and SaaS AI tech like AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, PyTorch.
• Optimize foundation model performance: latency, throughput, cost.
• Own end-to-end architecture and ensure observability and ethics.
