Job summary

Schaeffler Humanoids USA, LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design planetary gear actuators for humanoid robots. You will create production-ready 3D models, optimize gear systems, and run simulations to ensure robust performance.

You will collaborate across engineering teams to deliver innovative robotic solutions, document test results and specifications, and support development from concept through validation. This role requires US work authorization and strong CAD skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; robotics/automation coursework is a plus.
5+ years using CAD software to develop detailed mechanical designs and 3D models.
Strong knowledge of gear design and planetary actuators.
Experience with electric/hydraulic/pneumatic actuators for humanoid robots.
Ability to run simulations/FEA to improve design robustness.
Excellent teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
Authorized to work in the US.
