Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise GCP environments supporting regulated workloads. You will own landing zones, IaC pipelines, and security controls while coordinating with development teams across production, staging, and QA environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with GCP services, Terraform, Terragrunt, and DevSecOps practices, with emphasis on compliance and cloud optimization for mission-critical workloads.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of overall IT experience.
• 8+ years architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions.
• 5+ years implementing POC/MVP solutions and sprint demos.
• 8+ years with IaC and orchestration.
• 8+ years integrating deployments with DevSecOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement optimal GCP-based solutions for customers.
• Design GCP environments for production, staging, QA, and development.
• Own Landing Zone architectures, Terraform Foundations, and organizational policies.
• Design hybrid connectivity and DNS architectures; manage VPC and firewalls.
• Automate and improve development and release processes using CI/CD tools.
• Lead and mentor team, communicate with stakeholders, and produce architectural artifacts.
