Job summary

Tencent seeks an experienced IT operations engineer to own end-to-end operations of the overseas Elastic IP and load balancing gateway platform. You will resolve user tickets, deploy software, participate in on-call rotations, and manage critical incidents to keep production environments secure and reliable 24/7.

Candidates should have a computer-related bachelor's degree, 3+ years of large-scale system operations, Linux/Unix mastery, and knowledge of networks, storage and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in computer-related field with 3+ years in large-scale system operations and maintenance.
• Familiar with Linux/Unix operating systems and proficient in at least one of Python or Shell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of networks, storage, security, and computer architecture; experience with Linux system tuning is a plus.
• Experience in server cluster management; familiarity with Internet product development or O&M is preferred.

Job description

Own end-to-end operations of Tencent's overseas Elastic IP and load balancing gateway platform, covering user support ticket resolution, software deployment, on‑call rotations, and critical incident management, while maintaining 24/7 security and reliability for the production environment.

Job Requirements

• Computer-related Bachelor degree or above, more than 3‑year‑experience in large‑scale system operation and maintenance, familiar with operation and maintenance specifications;
• Familiar with Linux/unix operating system, master in least one of python/shell programming languages;
• Good knowledge of network, storage, security and computer architecture, experience in linux system tuning is preferred;
• Have server cluster management experience, familiar with the basic structure of Internet products, and experience in Internet product development or operation and maintenance is preferred;
• Clear thinking logic, able to quickly learn business logic, have good problem analysis and summary skills, and be good at proactively discovering and optimizing problems that appear in the work;
• Strong sense of responsibility, good sense of service and teamwork, strong ability to withstand pressure.
• Mandarin with international teams preferred but not required

The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $115,800 to $212,300 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign‑on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
