Job summary

Qualifications

• Five or more years of fleet-management experience, preferably in underground utilities, electrical construction, heavy civil construction, or related field.
• Knowledge of DOT, DMV, BIT, CHP, OSHA, and commercial-vehicle compliance requirements.
• Experience with GPS, telematics, fleet-management, fuel-card, and asset-tracking systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook; ability to generate fleet reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, maintenance, assignment, and utilization of vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
• Maintain fleet records including registrations, insurance, inspections, and service histories.
• Develop preventive-maintenance and inspection schedules.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with DOT/OSHA/other requirements.
• Coordinate repairs, downtime, rentals, and replacements to minimize field disruption.
• Manage fleet expenses and fuel-card activity; reconcile invoices.
