Job summary

Black Hills Energy in Denver, CO seeks a Gas Supply Scheduler Senior to manage gas purchases, nominations, and pipeline scheduling. You will optimize Endur-based gas paths, coordinate with suppliers, and support month-end settlement.

The role requires five years in gas scheduling, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. You will train junior schedulers and help ensure reliable gas deliverability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting, finance, or economics.
• Minimum of 5 years' natural gas experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Strong planning, organization, problem solving, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to write and communicate effectively, with a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Interact with supplier counterparties to coordinate and submit gas purchase and nomination information.
• Nominate gas supply to pipeline companies by NAESB deadlines to ensure deliverability.
• Balance gas portfolio in Endur ET RM system on a daily/monthly basis.
• Close out month-end activity and support settlement reconciliation.
• Train less experienced schedulers and provide subject matter expertise.
• Assess pipeline maintenance or constraints and take action to resolve.
• Understand and apply transportation/storage agreements and tariff provisions.
• Manage capacity release and AMA activity in EBB and ETRM systems.
• Use forecast modeling to guide gas supply decisions.
