Job summary

The Southern Connecticut Gas Company in Orange, CT is seeking an Inspector Enhance QA/QC Gas Engineering for a field role reporting to the Supervisor, Enhance QA/QC. The position offers a salary range of $79,600 to $99,600 with up to 16% bonus based on experience and performance.

Key responsibilities include conducting audits, aligning procedures with regulatory requirements, interfacing with field teams, regulators, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of gas distribution & operations experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of utility operations and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of Engineering, Construction and Maintenance standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs random independent audits per the Enhanced QA/QC Plan of construction and maintenance related activities related to safety, quality and productivity.
• Assures that operating procedures, materials, policies and procedures are all aligned in order to prevent future gas safety and quality compliance issues.
• Interfaces with construction workforce, public and regulatory agencies as required.
• Prepares and communicates reports for various activities in the department.
• Participates in team meetings to review findings and corrective actions.
