Job summary

The Southern Connecticut Gas Company is seeking an Inspector Enhance QA/QC for gas engineering in Orange, CT. This field position reports to the Supervisor, Enhance QA/QC and offers growth opportunities within a major energy network.

Responsibilities include conducting random independent audits, aligning procedures with regulatory standards, interfacing with crews and regulators, and delivering clear reports. Minimum 5 years in gas distribution and operations are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of gas distribution & operations experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of utility operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of Engineering, Construction and Maintenance standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Ensures operating procedures, materials, policies and procedures are aligned to prevent future gas safety and quality issues.
  • Interfaces with construction workforce, public and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Prepares and communicates reports for various activities in the department.
  • Participates in team meetings to review findings and corrective actions.

Inspector Enhance QA/QC Gas Engineering

Location: Orange, CT Reports to: Supervisor, Enhance QA/QC Work Type: Field

The salary range for this position is based on experience level ranging from $79,600 to $99,600 plus up to 16% bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs random independent audits per the Enhanced QA/QC Plan of construction and maintenance related activities related to safety, quality and productivity.
  • Assures that operating procedures, materials, policies and procedures are all aligned in order to prevent future gas safety and quality compliance issues.
  • Interfaces with construction workforce, public and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Prepares and communicates reports for various activities in the department.
  • Participates in team meetings to review findings and corrective actions.
Required Qualifications Education & Experience Required
  • Minimum 5 years of gas distribution & operations experience.

  • Track trends and make further recommendations on the Enhanced QA/QC Plan.
  • Interface and support Operations, Gas Supply, Regulatory Affairs to achieve relevant Company goals
