Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a Senior Gas Fleet Overhaul Project Manager to oversee multiple capital projects from initiation to closeout. You will assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, and develop schedules to ensure on-time completion.

The role requires ownership of cost, scope, and risk, with interface to vendors and procurement throughout the life cycle. The position emphasizes PMI-style project management, strong communication, and collaboration with a broad stakeholder base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Five years of directly related professional experience.
• Experience in project scheduling, cost controls, tracking and reporting methodologies.
• Knowledge of financial principles to quantify costs and benefits and to track budgets.
• Experience with PMI project management techniques or equivalent.
• Experience in managing vendors/contractors for work scope changes to meet specifications.
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated business management, consulting, customer service and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, design, and construction of multiple capital projects under general supervision.
• Oversee planning, design, and implementation of overhaul projects and large O&M projects.
• Track and control project cost, scope, schedule, and risk within approved constraints.
• Plan, schedule, and execute all project phases per PM processes and governance.
• Develop detailed project plans with scopes, milestones, and procurement strategy.
• Develop project schedules aligned with objectives.
• Coordinate development of conceptual and detailed designs.
• Interface with vendors/contractors throughout the life cycle.
• Establish responsibility for and manage physical construction.
• Provide project progress reports per approved communication plan.
• Provide quality project cost forecasting.
• Coordinate with procurement for external materials/services.
• Manage bid process and contracts for external engineering/pm execution.
• Negotiate changes with vendors/contractors to meet scope and specs.
• Oversee construction management team activities with field operations.
• Interface with plant manager for approvals and risk management.
