Job summary

Scopely is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Gaming Full Stack) to join the WWE Champions team, working from the United States, Canada (remote) or Mexico City (hybrid).

You will lead high-impact initiatives bridging backend services with Unity client systems, owning the technical roadmap, driving live-ops excellence, and enabling cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality player experiences.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience in gaming or large-scale live-service applications.
• Strong backend engineering with Python and Django; Unity development with C# in production.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, containers).

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical roadmap for full-stack gaming initiatives.
• Lead live-ops including incident management and reliability improvements.
• Bridge backend services with Unity client requirements in feature design.
• Mentor cross-functional teams and unblock technical challenges.
• Contribute to hands-on development across client and server codebases.
• Identify and mitigate technical debt to improve team velocity.
