Job summary

Scopely is seeking a Software Engineer (Gaming Fullstack) to join the WWE Champions team, with options for remote work in the United States or Canada, or hybrid in Mexico City.

You will bridge backend Python/Django services with Unity (C#) client systems, contribute to live-ops, and help shape scalable architectures for a live-game title. A CS degree and strong collaboration are expected; salary range discussed above.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience in gaming or large-scale live-service applications.
  • Strong backend experience with Python and Django.
  • Strong Unity (C#) development in production environments.
  • Ability to design scalable systems and support live-service operations.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization).
  • Experience with data-driven content pipelines, performance optimization, and serialization workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Support the technical roadmap for fullstack gaming initiatives, ensuring scalable, high-performance architecture.
  • Contribute to live-ops, including incident management and reliability improvements.
  • Bridge backend (Python/Django) with Unity game client requirements in feature delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and facilitate technical discussions.
  • Contribute to hands-on feature development with maintainable code across client and server.
  • Identify and mitigate technical debt and bottlenecks to improve velocity.
