Job summary

Raven Software seeks a Senior Expert Gameplay Engineer to create cinematic, player-first experiences in a AAA FPS setting. Based in Madison, WI, the role is onsite with a four-day workweek and opportunities to collaborate across a broad internal network.

Successful candidates will demonstrate deep expertise in C/C++, gameplay systems, and multi-threaded environments, with a passion for delivering top-tier interactive experiences loved by gamers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Shipped at least one game title.
• 13+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience in gameplay related fields (AI, physics, animation, weapons, scripting, networking).
• Background in multi-threaded code.
• Extensive experience with C/C++ programming.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and debug gameplay and related engine C/C++ code.
• Develop, modify, and debug gameplay code in proprietary scripting language.
• Deploy, evaluate performance, optimize and test software on PC client and server platforms.
• Collaborate with art, design, audio, animation, QA and other teams.
• Co-develop and collaborate with other Activision studios.
