Job summary

Escape Velocity Entertainment seeks a Game Designer with strong scripting skills to create and implement gameplay mechanics across the game, ensuring balance and fun. You will develop multiplayer match features and work with cross-disciplinary teams to bring the vision to life.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in multiplayer/live-service games, experience with at least one shipped AAA title, and expert Unreal Engine scripting (UE5 preferred).

Qualifications

• 3+ years in multiplayer/live-service games.
• At least one shipped AAA title.
• Expert scripting knowledge with Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred).
• Vector math skills.
• Passion for competitive gaming with current multiplayer understanding.
• Strong creative and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement multiplayer match mechanics and features.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, animators, and engineers to document and implement features in engine.
• Use visual scripting tools to create complex gameplay.
• Refine implementations via playtests and live data.
• Work with leads and directors to align designs with the game vision.
