House of How Games LLC. is seeking an experienced Game Designer to shape gameplay across systems and lead design discussions for a AA/AAA title. You will collaborate with the Design Director to build engaging experiences and pacing that fit the project’s vision.

Requirements include 5+ years in game design, 2+ years on AA/AAA projects, strong English communication, and proficiency with scripting or visual scripting, Unreal or Unity, and Git/SVN. Based in Sweden with relocation to Boden as needed.

Formación

• 5+ years in game design, with responsibilities across disciplines.
• Experience owning features and leading small teams.
• Experience with scripting and/or visual scripting systems.
• Proficiency with Unreal, Unity, or similar engines.
• Experience using source control like Git or SVN.
• Written and spoken English fluency.

Responsabilidades

• Brainstorm, design, spec, and implement multiple systems to create a highly compelling game loop.
• Perform advanced scripting and tool work.
• Work and coordinate with the Design Director to build experiences and pacing that make sense across the greater game.
• Participate and lead design discussions and reviews.
• Track work, goals, and progress in task tracking software.
• Pull work from multiple other disciplines towards a cohesive design goal, such as PFX, art, sound, and animation.
• Tweak and tune jumps, damage numbers, sightlines and everything else towards design goals, incorporating team and user feedback.
• Identify areas of improvement in both design and processes.
• Identify teams’ technical needs and participate in the interview process.
• Manage performance and reviews of more junior designers.
