Job summary

The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is seeking a Senior Financial Statutory Accountant to support statutory and GAAP accounting and financial reporting for the Group Profit Center. Location is hybrid, with 3 in-office days in Hudson Yards, NYC, and 2 days of remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of related experience (GAAP, Statutory, and Oracle Ledger). CPA preferred but not required.
• Understanding of Statutory and/or GAAP accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory and GAAP financial statements and supporting documentation for internal and external auditors.
• Prepare Board Reports and Audit Committee materials with analytical research on account variance.
• Maintain Oracle modules; serve as SME for Oracle-related questions and maintenance.
