Job summary

Guardian Life seeks a Senior Financial Statutory Accountant in Holmdel, NJ, with a hybrid schedule (in office 3 days per week). The role supports Statutory and GAAP accounting and financial reporting for the Group Profit Center, including regulatory and audited statements.

You will serve as the Oracle SME, handling journal entries, reconciliations, board materials, ad hoc reporting, and process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience (GAAP, Statutory, and Oracle Ledger).
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Regulatory, public accounting a plus.
• Understanding of Statutory and / or GAAP accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Reconcile key accounts and analysis of financial data included in the development of Group Profit Center monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Prepare Board and Audit Committee material including analytical research and documentation on account variance.
• Act as SME for questions maintenance related to Oracle and related modules.
• Add Ad Hoc Reports and Analysis for Management Analysis and Reporting.
• Identify, communicate, and implement process improvement projects to enhance accounting and reporting controls and provide efficiencies in the financial reporting process.
