Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services seeks a Senior Accountant focused on Financial Reporting to prepare quarterly and annual P&C statutory schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with NAIC and state requirements. You will coordinate with data providers, support audits, and drive reconciliations between GAAP and statutory figures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in financial reporting or analysis; insurance experience preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge with statutory reporting experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel; Oracle ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual P&C statutory statement schedules and consolidate responses.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data in statutory schedules.
• Ensure compliance with NAIC and state insurance regulatory reporting; research as needed.
• Prepare ad hoc journal entries as needed.
• Prepare technical balance sheet reconciliations; investigate differences with team.
• Support internal and external audits; GAAP-to-statutory reconciliations and variance explanations.
• Analyze management requests and communicate findings clearly and timely.
• Perform financial analyses and coordinate with parties to record ledger adjustments.
• Coordinate with Corporate functions (Controllers, GAAP, Regulatory, Tax, FP&A) as liaison.
• Evaluate and implement process improvements for efficiency and automation.
