Job summary

Impact Funeral Partners is seeking a General Manager / Funeral Director for the Southern Illinois region to lead operations, build community relationships, and ensure exceptional care for families. This hands-on role combines business leadership with the service ethos of funeral work.

You will oversee staffing, client meetings, and embalm/prep services as needed, while promoting autonomy within a growth‑oriented organization. A license + leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Funeral Director license in the relevant state
• 5+ years of licensed funeral director experience preferred
• Graduation from an accredited mortuary science program
• Prior management or leadership experience is a plus
• Strong communication and community-service mindset

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day funeral home operations including staffing, scheduling, and facility management
• Meet with client families to guide arrangements with professionalism and compassion
• Perform or oversee embalming, preparation, and funeral services as needed
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, clergy, and local organizations
• Drive location performance, including call volume, revenue, and client satisfaction
• Partner with IFP's support team on reporting, compliance, and operational standards
• Mentor and develop funeral home staff
