Job summary

Artistic Fundraising Group seeks a Senior Consultant & Project Manager to lead fundraising strategy for arts and humanities nonprofits, supervising a small team and managing client portfolios. Qualifications

• Four to six+ years of professional fundraising experience.
• Previous experience in grant writing and management with a track record of proven success.
• Previous experience in individual giving with a track record of proven success, preferring major gifts and board fundraising.
• Experience in management/supervisory roles with emphatic mentorship and supportive leadership practices.
• Experience in development and presentation of fundraising strategies, whether in nonprofit staff or consultancy.
• Deep understanding of Chicagoland’s philanthropic and nonprofit landscape.
• Strong writing and composition skills for deliverables.
• Working understanding of nonprofit financials, budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent verbal presentation skills with ability to explain new concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Google Drive/Microsoft Suite, project management software, and donor CRMs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of consultants, providing supervision, project enhancement, training and mentorship.
• Manage client portfolios and deliver high-level fundraising strategy for each engagement.
• Develop and maintain operational best practices within the development function.
• Deliver workshops and present to client stakeholder groups and boards.
• Coordinate deadlines and collaborate with team members to ensure timely project delivery.
