Job summary

City National Bank in San Francisco is seeking an Industry Closing Manager (ICM) to lead due diligence and the closing of complex commercial lending transactions. You will coordinate with clients, outside counsel, and internal partners to move financing and funding to successful close.

The role requires extensive fund finance experience, strong project management, and a client‑facing mindset to ensure precise, timely closings in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years experience in Fund Finance required.
• Previous Management experience is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Paralegal or part of Law Firm is preferred.
• Client facing presence and experience.
• Project Management skills, ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Recommended experience: Prior closing experience, paralegal in legal docs or commercial credit.
• Understanding of bank policies and procedures relating to satisfaction of loan closing conditions, documents and services.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting complex loan, security and related legal agreements to identify key business and operational terms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the client team and internal stakeholders to coordinate requirements and support timely closings.
• Manage and direct Loan Closing Specialists, prioritize workflow and escalate issues.
• Review closing checklists, credit approvals, and loan docs to confirm conditions have been satisfied.
• Communicate closing timelines, milestones, and status with stakeholders.
• Determine appropriate documentation approach and coordinate with outside counsel when required.
• Review and analyze loan, security and legal documents to identify key terms and requirements.
• Manage legal invoices and expenses per procedures.
• Issue Clear to Close after all conditions are satisfied and funding can commence.
