Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Lead Closing Officer to manage end-to-end pre- and postclosing activities for complex commercial real estate loans within the Institutional Capital Group. This role acts as a subject-matter expert and escalation point for high‑complexity transactions.

You will coordinate with ICG partners, clients, attorneys, title and insurance providers to ensure due diligence is satisfied, loan documents reflect approved terms, and workflows meet internal policies and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with closing process and CRE loan financing.
• Knowledge of healthcare products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end pre and postclosing activities for complex loan structures.
• Review credit approvals, term sheets and closing checklists for accuracy.
• Coordinate with external parties to complete transactions and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify, resolve and elevate risks and issues affecting client service and execution.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Closing Officers and participate in process improvements.
