Job summary

Petra Funds Group is a premier provider of fund administration and infrastructure for PE and debt funds. This role sits with a client and leads the internal review function, managing a Senior Fund Accountant while collaborating with the broader accounting team.

You will own critical accounting areas including GAAP, disclosures, and fund economics, ensuring accuracy for investors and auditors. The position emphasizes collaboration, governance, and process improvement within a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 946, ASC 820 and ability to research issues.
• Experience owning a financial statement package with notes and investments.
• Experience running an audit from the client side and negotiating positions.

Responsibilities

• Review and sign-off on administrator-prepared workpapers and financial statements.
• Own accounting treatment for unusual or judgmental transactions and their presentation.
• Review distributions, capital calls, and investor notices before release.
• Oversee treasury: cash forecasts, bank relationships, and wire input.
• Manage external audit and administrator relationships; ensure service levels.
• Develop and supervise the Senior Fund Accountant; drive process improvements.
