Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a Fund Controller to oversee accounting, reporting and operational functions for multiple investment vehicles. You will partner with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure timely, accurate financial information and robust investor reporting.

The role offers exposure to fund operations, compliance, and transaction activity within a growing alternative investment environment. Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CPA preferred).
• 5+ years accounting experience in public accounting, investment management, or related environment.
• Strong understanding of investment fund accounting, financial reporting, and GAAP.
• Experience with complex legal entity structures and investment vehicles.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems and reporting tools.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for investment funds and related entities.
• Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party providers.
• Review underlying investment or portfolio financial results and prepare management reporting packages.
• Coordinate audit, tax, compliance, and investor reporting processes.
• Maintain fund performance schedules, fee calculations, and supporting documentation.
• Support transaction activity, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and other strategic initiatives.
