About the Team
Virtus from FIS is a leading provider of alternative investment services and technology solutions, specializing in delivering comprehensive front, middle, and back-office services to asset managers, banks, and other institutional investors. Virtus helps its clients manage their alternative investment portfolios, including CLO / CDOs, private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative assets.
What You Will Be Doing
The Fund Administration team is a growing, fast-paced business unit responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting and administration of open and closed-end funds of our clients. The Senior Fund Accounting Supervisor is a key point of contact for clients, fund financial controllers, auditors, and third parties, ensuring client satisfaction.
Develop, train, and supervise fund accounting staff, overseeing all aspects of client fund accounting deliverables and service levels.
Review all period-end financial packages, statements, reporting, and disclosures under GAAP and IFRS.
Assist with client onboarding (loading client tax lots, cash balances, Trial Balance, etc.) and year-end audits (backup documentation, sampling, etc.).
Liaise with internal teams, vendors, and third parties, serving as an escalation point for clients in issue remediation.
Calculate and review fund returns, process capital commitments, calls, and distributions.
Prepare expense budget analysis, expense calculations, and maintain daily and monthly accounting records.
Provide subject matter expertise regarding closed-end fund accounting and financial reporting for platform enhancements and technology development.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
Typically, at least 5-7 years of private equity accounting and financial statement preparation, plus one or more years in a leadership role.
Thorough knowledge of securities, fixed income assets, investor accounting, partnership accounting, and consolidation accounting.
Experience with financial reporting, investor capital allocations, and waterfall structures.
Working knowledge of accounting systems (Geneva, VPM) and partnership allocations (Investran).
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel skills.

FIS is committed to providing exciting career opportunities and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $131,000, based on role, level, and location. Actual starting pay depends on skills, experience, and education. Please discuss salary expectations with your recruiter.
