Job summary

Belltower Funds, a division of AngelList, seeks a Fund Accounting Senior Associate to support valuation, accounting, and reporting for 27,000+ funds on the AngelList platform. You will review post-close actions, calculate management fees, and respond to investor inquiries. Collaboration with GPs and LPs is routine.

Role focuses on non-automated tasks, audits, and process improvements, with opportunities to automate as the team scales across NYC and SF hubs.

Qualifications

3-4+ years in fund administration or public accounting focused on VC/PE clients, with strong academic record.
Ability to communicate effectively with portfolio companies and lead investors.
Excellent attention to detail and process orientation.
Willingness to work with cross-functional teams and push towards automation.
Strong interest in the nuts and bolts of venture finance and related GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

Evaluate portfolio company events and determine valuation actions.
Prepare audited and unaudited financial statements and coordinate with auditors.
Ensure GAAP accounting treatment for portfolio investments is correct and assess special situations.
Collaborate with engineering on automation and process improvement.
Be responsible for specific team functions and workflows.
Contribute to ad hoc projects.
