Job Title: Senior Fund Accountant / Senior Accountant

Location: Arlington, VA

This position is on-site

One of our clients is looking for a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team in Arlington, VA. If you are a 2-3+ year accounting professional with a strong background in financial services please feel free to apply!

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations for multiple funds.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Perform detailed analysis of fund performance and variances.
• Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to investors and regulatory bodies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CFA certification preferred.
• 2-3+ years of experience in fund accounting or financial services
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
