Job summary

Cayuse Civil Services in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Functional Testing Lead to define test strategies, ensure entry/exit criteria, and support deployment readiness gates. The role requires strong testing methodology knowledge, technical leadership of test teams, and experience applying automation and appropriate tools for management and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT systems in QA/Quality Engineering.
• 4+ years in test leadership roles with team coordination and mentoring.
• 4+ years developing test deliverables like test plans, cases, regressive suites, RTMs.
• 4+ years of defect lifecycle management including triage.
• 3+ years using test management tools (ALM/Azure DevOps/Jira).

Responsibilities

• Lead test governance, planning, and team coordination for enterprise IT initiatives.
• Develop end-to-end test strategies and RTMs; manage scripts for coverage.
• Manage defect lifecycle and coordinate resolutions across teams.
• Track and report quality metrics to ensure transparency and improvement.
• Define test entry/exit criteria and release readiness gates.
• Lead cloud, SaaS, APIs, and integration testing initiatives.
