Job summary

Qualifications
- Extensive ISO 26262 knowledge and FS work products.
- 8+ years in functional safety engineering or related role.
- Experience supporting external FS reviews and stakeholder alignment.
- Understand safety responsibilities between supplier and OEM.
- Experience with FS tools Medini, APIS IQ and Jama.
Responsibilities
- Lead FS system requirements and functional decomposition for automotive systems.
- Review and approve HARA, FS requirements, technical safety requirements, validation tests.
- Contribute to architecture definition from the FS perspective.
- Lead development of FS processes and tools across teams.
- Oversee the program FS readiness process and metrics.
- Define FS concepts for system, hardware, and software per ISO 26262.
- Collaborate with HW, SW, design and validation to meet safety requirements.
- Develop hazard analysis and safety concepts with cross-functional teams.
- Support functional safety validation tests and supplier interfaces.
