Job summary

Humanoid is seeking a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team. You will lead safety lifecycle activities and develop safety-critical subsystems for industrial and home robots, working with the Functional Safety Lead to certify safety-related systems.

Ideal candidates bring deep expertise in functional safety standards, a track record of safety case development, and hands-on design/validation experience for mobile/dynamic robotic systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in safety-critical systems development.
• Proven ability to apply functional safety standards to embedded systems.
• Experience with safety case development and certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support safety lifecycle activities from concept to validation and certification.
• Develop safety assurance arguments for subsystems and products.
• Define safety concepts and support detailed design of safety-critical systems.
• Collaborate across disciplines to define and validate safety requirements for sensors, controllers and actuators (hardware and software).
• Perform safety analyses such as FMEA, FMEDA, FTA etc.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to support the safety case (risk assessments, SRS, V&V plans, test reports).
• Ensure compliance with regulations and international standards.
