Job summary

Mind Robotics is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to oversee functional safety for our humanoid platform in Palo Alto, California. This role encompasses everything from hazard analysis to certification and requires leading safety efforts across multi-disciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of experience in safety engineering particularly in robotics, and the ability to translate evolving safety standards into effective engineering solutions. Strong communication and creative problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of safety engineering experience on industrial robots, collaborative robots, AGVs/AMRs, or comparable machinery.
• Deep working knowledge of ISO 13849, IEC 62061, IEC 61508, and ISO 10218.
• Hands-on experience taking a product through safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safety lifecycle for our humanoid platform.
• Design safety architectures appropriate to a mobile robot.
• Drive certification efforts and own the technical file.
