Humanoid is seeking a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to lead safety lifecycle activities from concept to certification for our robotic platforms. You will drive safety cases, perform analyses, and ensure alignment with IEC/ISO standards while collaborating with hardware, software, and systems teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in safety-critical systems.
• Experience applying embedded safety standards (IEC 61508, IEC 62061, ISO 13849, ISO 26262).
• Experience with robotics safety standards (ISO 10218, ISO 13482, ISO 3691-4).
• Experience with safety case development and certification for autonomous systems.
• Hands-on design, implementation and validation of safety systems for mobile robots.
• Strong communication, able to convey technical details to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support activities across the complete safety lifecycle from concept to certification.
• Develop safety assurance arguments for subsystems and products.
• Define safety concepts and support technical development of safety-critical systems.
• Collaborate across disciplines to validate safety requirements for sensors, controllers, actuators.
• Perform safety analyses such as FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA.
• Create and maintain safety documentation: risk assessments, SRS, V&V plans, test reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and international standards.
