Job summary

Vanta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead complex, high-impact projects and mentor engineers. You will set direction for key technical areas and drive the design and development of product functionality and infrastructure using modern tech like TypeScript, React, and Node.js.

You will work with a team that values security focus, rapid growth, and collaboration, contributing to an engineering culture that scales with the business.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of industry experience.
Technical leadership roles for teams or complex projects.
Startup experience or bias for action.
Experience with greenfield projects.
Interest in learning about security or prior security experience.
Open to using AI to amplify skills and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to deliver significant impact.
Set direction for critical technical surface areas to stay ahead of growth.
Design, develop, and own new product functionality and/or infrastructure with modern frameworks (TypeScript, React, Node.js).
Collaborate with engineers to improve security and customer impact.
Contribute to building Vanta’s engineering culture as we grow.
