Job summary

ID.me is hiring a Senior Fullstack Software Development Engineer to join the Person team. You will design and build systems that define a person’s identity and the APIs that serve it, ensuring security, consistency, and performance across the ecosystem.

You’ll lead architecture, own Backend for Frontend APIs, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable services for millions of members and partners while mentoring engineers and adopting AI‑augmented development practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience developing across the full stack in production environments.
• 7+ years of experience in at least one backend language (Python, Go, or Java) and with modern frameworks.
• 7+ years of professional experience developing frontend applications (Angular, React etc) in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Own the design and implementation of significant areas of the Person platform.
• Cross‑Team Influence: Work with teams across ID.me to understand how person data is consumed.
• Systems Design & Architecture: Design end‑to‑end of complex features across full stack.
• Engineering Excellence: Maintain code quality, testing, observability, and incident response.
• AI-Augmented Development: Model and champion AI‑first engineering practices.
