Job summary

PLACE is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to build and scale a mortgage technology platform. You will work with the CTO and executives to deliver features end-to-end across Rails APIs, TS/Node services, GraphQL gateway, and React UIs.

You will own external integrations, multi-step workflows, multi-tenant security, and AI-assisted engineering practices while mentoring peers and driving engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and running production web applications.
• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails, API-only services, ActiveRecord, PostgreSQL, background jobs, and RSpec.
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript, and GraphQL (Apollo) for server and client.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features across Rails API services, TypeScript/Node services, a GraphQL gateway, and React frontends.
• Own integrations with external platforms, including data mapping, sync and reconciliation, retries, and idempotency.
• Design and evolve multi-step asynchronous workflows using message queues and saga-style orchestration.
• Lead technical design for significant features with design docs and architecture decisions.
