Job summary

Lower is building a digital mortgage and homeownership platform combining real estate, lending, and technology. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design scalable systems, own significant features, and collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and other partners to deliver reliable software for the homeownership journey.

You should be proficient across the stack (TypeScript, React, AWS, Next.js, Node.js, C#/.NET, Go, Postgres) and willing to learn new languages and AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• Full-stack expertise with demonstrated ability to deliver backend and frontend solutions.
• Strong computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and system design.
• Prior fintech, lending, or consumer financial products experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex technical problems and design scalable systems across the stack.
• Develop, test, and maintain reliable software for frontend, backend, APIs, and data layers.
• Build and maintain high-quality code with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production reliability.
• Apply secure development practices across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and business partners to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Own features and technical projects from discovery through deployment and support.
