Job summary

Alpaca, a US-headquartered broker‑dealer and API company, seeks a Senior Fullstack Engineer to embed in brokerage operations, eliminating manual work through durable software. You will observe workflows end‑to‑end, design automation, and collaborate with licensed staff and platform engineers to scale tooling globally without linear headcount growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong business sense and understanding of operations
• Hands-on Golang expertise with concurrency
• Proven experience with Typescript/React for end-to-end features
• Proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL
• Ability to reason about human workflows as systems
• Experience with observability and profiling
• Excellent cross-functional communication and ownership mindset

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and monitor production automations and UIs.
• Partner with frontend engineers to productize ops tooling for global teams.
• Execute operational procedures to surface manual processes for automation.
• Instrument and report metrics and iterate based on impact.
• Produce Platform Briefs / RFCs for platform tooling and automations.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Security for auditable automations.
• Own full lifecycle of systems including CI/CD with ArgoCD and Terraform, on-call rotations, and incident response.
• Build systems with auditability, data lineage, and regulatory transparency.
