Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior Full Stack UX Engineer for Map Creation Systems. You will own the architecture and delivery of both backend services and the user interface, focusing on scalable, geospatial map data and fast updates.

You will collaborate across teams to design frameworks, build robust pipelines, and deliver high-quality, user-friendly mapping tools that scale with autonomous driving technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years delivering complex software features from design to deployment.
• Strong skills in full-stack development and modern WebGL-based web apps with React/Angular.
• Hands-on API design, Python geometric algorithms, cloud infra and DevOps (AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Strong UX sensibility and ability to align UI with design specs.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and product ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead feature lifecycle for the mapping system from architecture to UI and backend delivery.
• Architect and develop geospatial backend services and data pipelines.
• Build responsive web apps translating complex datasets into intuitive products.
• Influence team direction, mentor engineers, and improve system reliability.
• Ensure code quality through reviews for web and backend codebases.
• Partner with cross-team stakeholders to meet mapping efficiency needs.
