Job summary

CSSI, LLC., in Washington, DC, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full UI/UX Stack Software Engineer to support the design, development, modernization, integration, and maintenance of mission-critical applications for transportation and safety programs.

The role emphasizes front-end development, cloud-native architectures on AWS, API and UI integration, and Agile software practices to deliver scalable solutions that enhance operational performance and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years developing modern web applications.
• Experience through the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience supporting production systems and enterprise applications.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident (min 3+ years of U.S. residency) and Public Trust approval.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack software solutions for mission and operational objectives.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native applications utilizing AWS services.
• Build and enhance APIs, and web-based user interfaces.
• Collaborate with program managers, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Implement software engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support for deployed systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and development reviews.
• Develop technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and implementation plans.
