Wpromote is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to lead and contribute across Polaris, a modern data and marketing intelligence platform. You will design React/TypeScript interfaces and Django/Python APIs, owning features from architecture through deployment and production support.

You will mentor engineers, raise standards, and drive reliability and speed across squads. The role offers remote work with office hubs in major cities and a salary range of $135,000–$155,000, plus comprehensive

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production web apps with React/TS and Python/Django.
• Own complex full-stack features end-to-end.
• Deep React expertise: hooks, architecture, accessibility, state management.
• Deep Django: ORM, migrations, auth, DRF.
• RESTful API design and third-party integrations.
• PostgreSQL modeling and performance.

Responsibilities

• Act as hands-on technical leader across React/TypeScript and Django/Python.
• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end features across frontend and backend.
• Partner with Product/UX to translate workflows into intuitive interfaces.
• Design secure, scalable RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
• Architect reusable frontend/backend patterns with clear boundaries.
• Own automated testing across the stack with Vitest, Jest, Pytest, Playwright.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance and observability.
• Drive features from discovery to deployment and production support.
• Balance custom and open-source software to fit product needs.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across the team.
• Collaborate across squads and participate in agile planning.
