Job summary

Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC is seeking a Development Lead to design, develop, test, and maintain production‑grade applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and Flask. You will lead sprint‑level delivery, drive quality, and coordinate cross‑functional teams across engineering and DevOps.

Expect hands‑on coding coupled with technical leadership and mentoring. You will mentor engineers, participate in Agile ceremonies, review architectures, and help shape secure, scalable solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years in a senior/lead role.
• Proven experience with full‑stack development: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, Flask.

Responsibilities

• Lead sprint‑level technical delivery by breaking down requirements, identifying dependencies and risks, and coordinating work across engineering teams.
• Drive engineering quality through code reviews, testing standards, documentation, secure coding practices, and Definition of Done.
• Serve as a primary technical resource for resolving blockers and evaluating trade‑offs.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to execute designs and elevate architecture decisions.
• Work with DevOps teams to support CI/CD, automated testing, security requirements, and deployments.
• Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Support Agile practices including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, standups, and retrospectives.
• Develop and maintain technical docs including API specs, architecture decisions, coding standards, and runbooks.
• Monitor performance post‑release and participate in troubleshooting and incident response.
• Provide leadership and feedback for team development and recruitment activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for quality, security, reliability, and delivery practices.
