Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build the next-generation procurement platform as part of the Supply Chain & Operations Technology team. You will create domain services for requisitions, sourcing, PO management, invoicing, and supplier lifecycle across facilities.

The role emphasizes reducing manual work, lowering latency, and scaling procurement operations as Blue Origin grows. Remote/onsite travel may be required.

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build Blue Origin’s next-generation procurement platform that will reinvent the entire procure-to-pay lifecycle. This role is on the Supply Chain & Operations Technology team.

You will design and develop domain services in this ecosystem: requisition workflows, sourcing automation, purchase order management, invoicing, supplier lifecycle, quality integrations, compliance and export control, and the shared data model connecting them all.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility initiative. Your work will directly eliminate manual workarounds, reduce page-load latency, and scale procurement operations as Blue Origin grows.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Demonstrated background in researching and incorporating modern AI/ML tools
• Demonstrated proficiency or expertise in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong project management skills capable of leading multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience architecting large-scale supply chain software systems
• Deep expertise in cloud architecture and microservices design patterns
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
• Track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams
• Knowledge of MRP, supply chain planning, or manufacturing execution systems (MES)
• Experience with data engineering and analytics platforms
• Experience architecting and scaling AI/ML solutions across supply chain or operations domains
• Deep understanding of large language models, generative AI, and emerging AI technologies
• Track record of incorporating AI capabilities into software systems to drive business value and operational efficiency

Base Pay Range

Base Pay Range for: WA applicants is $197,529.00 - $276,539.55 Other site ranges may differ
