Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Manufacturing and Supply Chain Specialist to advance production system execution, lead Kaizen workshops, and drive cross-functional projects across facilities in support of our spaceflight manufacturing goals.

The role emphasizes Lean/Six Sigma, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with engineering, operations, and quality teams, with up to 20% travel and a focus on safe, repeatable processes.

Responsibilities

  • Production System Execution – drive stable, repeatable success through performance trend awareness and action coordination.
  • Strategic Workshop Facilitation – plan, execute, and follow up on Kaizen improvement workshops and training sessions.
  • Lead manufacturing-related projects for cross-functional teams – align people, processes, and assets for success.
  • Process Improvement – Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Time Studies, Waste Reduction, and work sampling.

This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of specialists you will develop, integrate, and qualify processes for Blue Origin’s manufacturing. Responsibilities
  • Production System Execution – Drive stable, repeatable success through performance trend awareness, executive feedback, critical action coordination, and more
  • Strategic Workshop Facilitation – Help plan, execute, and follow up on major Kaizen Improvement Workshops, critical training sessions, and similar activities
  • Lead manufacturing-related projects for cross-functional teams – set the right conditions for success for people, processes, and assets.
  • Process Improvement- Lean Manufacturing, Engineering Economic Analysis, Process Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Methods, Six Sigma, Time Studies, Waste Reduction, and Work Sampling
  • Operations improvement- Ergonomic and Human Factors, Operations Plans, Recovery planning, Capacity planning, Capital planning
  • Production Support- Ability to execute application of core concepts.
  • Production Support- Production Scheduling, Theory of Constraints, Budgets and Forecasts, Crew Empowerment, Defect Analysis and Benchmarking Analysis, Core Competency Definition, Resource Allocation, Scenario Planning, Discrete Event Simulation, Make/Buy Evaluations, and Cost/Price Evaluations.
  • Integrated Systems- Value Stream Analysis, Manufacturing Process Design, Systems Thinking
  • Travel opportunities available to support other sites.
  • Travel may be required up to 20% of the time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business Disciplines
  • Excellent Interpersonal Communication Skills
  • Critical thinking – ability to receive a task and thoroughly execute without detailed instructions
  • Strong analytic skill set and a high degree of proficiency in data mining
  • Outstanding with Excel and manual data analysis
  • Self-Starter

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Desired: Master’s of Science or Business – Industrial Engineering, other Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or similar
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with manufacturing in a production environment
  • Demonstrated factory flow and process modeling and simulations experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement and value stream mapping events.
  • Certifications showing demonstrated knowledge (PMP, Lean Black Belt, similar) Experience transitioning development to production
  • Strong teaming skills

Pay
  • Base Pay Range for: WA applicants is $91,852.00 - $128,592.45
