Job summary

BEL USA LLC is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable software across the stack. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and leadership to shape technical direction and improve platform performance.

Responsibilities include API design, front-end development with React, and ensuring security and reliability in production systems. This role requires ownership, strong testing, and on-call participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production systems.
• Experience with Node.js, React, and TypeScript, including component architecture and testing.
• Experience designing APIs, asynchronous patterns, and scalable back-end services.
• Solid web fundamentals: HTTP, caching, security headers, OAuth/OIDC, secure coding.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database design, migrations, and performance optimization.

• Implement and maintain APIs, data models, microservices, and background workers.

• Write clean, well-tested code aligned with engineering standards.
• Instrument applications with logging, metrics, tracing, and reliable alerting.
• Build with security, privacy, and performance in mind from the start.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and review culture.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and solutions-driven Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality software systems that power our growing business. This engineer will work across the full technology stack—front end, back end, APIs, and databases to deliver secure, reliable features for both internal and external users.

As a key member of the engineering team, the Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer will partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to shape technical direction, enhance platform performance, and uphold modern development practices. This role will also contribute to engineering standards, developer tooling, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen our overall technology foundation.

Essential Functions:

• Design and build modern eCommerce services within a scalable, secure, AI-driven platform.
• Develop high-quality front-end interfaces using React or similar frameworks.

• Own the full development lifecycle: design, coding, code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation.

Education/Certification

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production systems.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, React, and TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, data-fetching patterns, forms, accessibility, profiling, and testing (e.g., React Testing Library, Playwright).
• Experience designing and implementing APIs, asynchronous patterns, and scalable back-end services.
• Solid foundation in web fundamentals: HTTP, caching, cookies, security headers/CSP, OAuth/OIDC, secure coding.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL database design, migrations, and performance optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to ship reliable, observable, maintainable software and collaborate with Product and Design teams.
