Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals seeks an expert consultant to advise on complex data processing problems and participate in designing computer-based information systems. You will help assess feasibility, benefits, and costs of major projects, ensuring integration with other systems to achieve cohesive operations.

In the Computer Operations area, you will oversee a 24/7 MIS Computer Center, coordinating with Network Services to resolve network and telecom challenges and supporting cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, Engineering, Math, Business or related field.
• 5+ years progressive experience in data processing, computer systems and applications.
• Supervisory experience within Operations specialty (5 years).
• Equivalent combination of training, education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Recommends design options for data processing systems and computerization.
• Develops feasibility studies and analyzes project requests.
• Promotes uniform electronic data methods and standards.
• Maintains high technical competence with latest EDPI tech in health care MIS.
• Investigates and resolves processing problems in systems and programs.
• Selects hardware and software meeting projected workload requirements.
