Job summary

New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene seeks a permanent cyber security-conscious software professional to join our Application Development & Database Administration team, delivering secure .NET solutions that support NYC's public health mission.

Responsibilities include modifying and developing .NET code, tuning MS SQL Server performance with a DBA, collaborating with developers and IT staff, and ensuring lightweight, scalable, and secure systems.

Qualifications

• Eight years of hands-on C#, ASP.Net Core, ASP.NET, ADO.Net, and JavaScript development experience.
• Five years of Microsoft SQL Server experience with relational database concepts, normalization, functions and stored procedures.
• Experience translating business requirements to technical specifications and database designs.

Responsibilities

• Modify and develop .NET code for diverse .NET applications to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with a DBA to tune the SQL database performance.
