Job summary

Peraton in Herndon, VA is seeking a Full Stack Microservices Developer to join the DOS CS M Program. You will contribute to modernizing the operational environment and delivering distributed service architectures using Java, React, and containerized microservices.

The role covers the full SDLC in an Agile DevSecOps setting, including design, prototyping, testing, CI/CD, and production support, with a focus on security, scalability, and reliability for government customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with relevant software development experience.
• Experience in full life cycle software development across SDLC.
• Proficient in front-end and back-end with Java, React, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD automation.
• Experience with static code analyzers and secure coding practices.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain an active clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define software requirements as epics and user stories for Agile DevSecOps.
• Develop prototypes to inform service decomposition and modernization roadmaps.
• Design software with patterns to improve maintainability, performance, and security.
• Implement enterprise web-based applications using Java stack in Agile.
• Develop SPAs using client-side rendering framework.
• Develop REST-based services using containerized microservices.
• Create automated unit and integration tests for CI/CD.
• Support CI/CD and static code analysis to ensure high-quality code.
• Provide production and operational support as needed.
