Job summary

SMBC Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Full Stack Lead Developer to join our CCAR technology team. You will lead end-to-end design and development using Django on the backend and React on the frontend, building scalable, secure APIs and cloud-native solutions.

The role requires strong Azure expertise, mentoring, and collaboration with product owners to deliver robust financial regulatory applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years backend development experience with Python and Django.
3+ years frontend development with React.
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure.
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and Agile experience.
Preferred: Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, CI/CD and cloud-native deployment.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design, development, and support of Django/React applications.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs and data storage solutions.
Architect and integrate Azure Cloud services for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver comprehensive CCAR solutions.
Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards and security controls.
Mentor junior developers and promote technical growth.
Optimize database performance and data storage.
