Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an experienced full-stack Java developer to join the CSEP Information Systems and OT Solutions team supporting IT across discrete manufacturing and production.

The role involves designing, implementing, and extending both custom and COTS systems, with opportunities to work across the full software stack and contribute to modernization efforts that support national security missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance
• Experience designing, implementing, integrating, and extending both custom-built and COTS systems
• Experience with secure coding practices

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain full-stack software solutions primarily using Java, with support from C#/.NET and Python
• Integrate tester and waveform analysis applications and analytical tools
• Ensure secure, compliant solutions with cybersecurity collaboration
• Integrate Oracle ERP, Solumina MES, and COTS/custom apps for reliable system interoperability
• Advance digital engineering practices, including model-based approaches and digital thread initiatives
• Explore AI-enabled methods to boost productivity and workflow efficiency
