Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help grow our healthcare data ecosystem. You’ll work across frontend and backend, shaping architecture, mentoring teammates, and delivering scalable data-driven solutions that power health outcomes.

You’ll collaborate with product and design to build customer-facing apps using React and TypeScript, with a strong emphasis on engineering fundamentals, quality, and maintainability. This is a high-impact role with ownership from day one.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and operating production software systems.
• Experience crafting customer-facing apps with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building scalable APIs and cloud-native apps.
• Strong collaboration and leadership across product and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications that power Datavant's healthcare data ecosystem.
• Deliver exceptional user experiences by partnering closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers.
• Develop scalable frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and data-driven solutions that support millions of healthcare records and transactions.
• Guide technical design decisions and help establish architecture patterns that enable long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Own substantial projects end-to-end, from technical design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing operation.
• Drive innovation and deliver valuable solutions that improve outcomes for healthcare organizations and patients.
• Share your expertise with the engineering community through technical discussions, mentorship, and contributions to our engineering blog.
