Job summary

Nomad Global Communications Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer IV to join the Innovative Solutions Group in a full-time role. The candidate will work on web applications, frontend interfaces, and backend services for Nomad’s vehicles and shelters, with opportunities to develop internal applications at Nomad.

Requires strong experience in Java, Typescript, and modern frameworks; leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years web programming experience
• BS in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years web programming experience
• High school degree with 11+ years web programming experience
• 4+ years leading a software development team of at least 3 developers
• Experience with web application architecture and frontend/backend integration

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software development meetings and provide technical recommendations
• Design system architecture based on client requirements
• Develop frontend interfaces and backend code for web applications
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and review code
• Ensure timely completion of tasks within Sprint cycles
• Travel to Nomad and customer locations as needed
• Create documentation and assistance tools for end users
